Christingle Service

Christingle Service

Our Christingle Service this year was led by our Church Warden Bill Sivewright.

At the start of the morning the children, supported by staff and parents, made their own Christingle Oranges. Bill explained to the children what each part of the Christingle represents.

We then walked over to the church for the Christingle Service itself. Bill lit the first Christingle from the advent candle wreath and then used this to pass the light around all the other Christingles. He talked to the children about how sharing light like this represents how God's love is shared - as it passes from one candle to the other the light doesn't diminish, in the same way God's love is shared around equally.
