Youth Speak

Youth Speak

A team of Year 5 and 6 children took part in the Honiton Learning Community Youth Speak Competition.  The team of three children had to plan and present a speech and compete against nine other teams.  The teams spoke on subjects such as 'Plastic is not so fantastic', 'Coral bleaching' and 'How long should children spend on their devices?'   The winning team spoke about 'What makes Britain great?'  Our team chose to speak about 'Should Donald Trump still be President?'  Although it was the first time they had been involved in an event like this and they were very nervous they spoke with confidence and were articulate in their presentation.  Well done to all those involved.
