Science at HCC - Spring Term

Science at HCC

Class Two visited HCC to take part in a science lesson. This term's theme was light and dark. The children started off the session by looking in mirrors and tried to work out why the image was reversed. They then used mirrors to investigate how they might help us see different things. The children also looked at how light can be bent using lenses. They used concave and convex lenses to look around the lab and explored their uses. Finally, they experimented with shadow and how they can be made bigger and smaller depending on the proximity to the light source. It was lots of fun and has given us a great stepping stone to continue our investigations further back at school.
